Pitches We Love to See
Assist us in streamlining this procedure by adhering to the instructions provided and understanding that the review of pitches might take some time. Regrettably, our compact team can only accommodate a limited number of submissions, making adherence to these guidelines the optimal path for securing publication.
To align contributor expectations, it's crucial to note that the duration between submission and publication is often several months. Consequently, we exclusively consider evergreen content, which retains relevance irrespective of the season or time frame.
Pitch Guidelines:
Personal Essays: Our aim with our commissioned content is to share and highlight the lived experiences of BIPOC women. We therefore encourage your submission to honest, reflective of who are, and written in your natural voice!
Topics: While we cover a range of topics on our website, we are seeking pitches covering topics on and sustainability, mental and emotional wellness, reproductive health and well-being, motherhood, sisterhood and friendship, identity, and careers (stories on sex work welcome!)
Authentic: All stories must be written on things related to your life. Therefore, stores about motherhood should be written by mothers, stories about mental illness should be written by those with mental illness, etc.
Evergreen: All successful pitches will be those that will remain relevant for long periods of time after they are published.
Length: 1000-1,200 words.
